

Age 72, of Ross Twp., born on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1944, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Son of the late Adella M. and S. Sgt. James C. McGinnis, he was the long time loving companion and loyal friend of Sandra Froehlich. He was a lifelong highly valued, treasured and esteemed part of the Bill and Bob Caldwell families. Cousin of Barbara (William) Siegfried of Greenville, NC, George (Wendy) Bissinger of Greenville, NC, David (Pam) Bissinger of Phoenix, AZ and John (Marion) Bissinger of Ormond Beach, FL. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Avalon High School where he was valedictorian of his class. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a faithful contributor and passionate sports fan. He taught high school physics, chemistry, science and math for over 40 years at Montour, Avalon and Northgate High Schools and Shadyside Academy. Bob coached girls varsity basketball at Northgate and Shadyside Academy, his 1986 Northgate team won the WPIAL Championship. Bob was a dedicated Pirate fan, car enthusiast, traveler, photographer and accomplished gardener. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444 where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 am, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Glenfield.
