Sincere condolences to all of Russell's family.  Our prayers are with you.. Even though these are sad times, I know the fond memories of great times with that wonderful man will sustain you in the coming years. 

I also offer condolences to all of his Pittsburgh area friends who, I know, will also miss him greatly. There is a wonderful sense of friendship among Pittsburgh Divison Inspectors and I always felt gratified that I was able to spend some time within that circle.

Russell and Helen came through San Francisco a few years ago and, after all the years, it was great to spend some time with him and talk over old times. Despite all he had gone through, he hadn't changed a bit....he was still "the little goombah"...!

Not only was Russ one of the best Inspectors I have ever known, but he was one hell of man who was always great fun to be around. His AIC, Bill O'Keefe, was in awe of him......"He could do it all".

To the Siano family and everyone that loved Russ, I am so sorry for your loss.  I couldn't believe it when my mom told me.  He was such a nice person and had a great sense of humor.  I'll always remember that about him.

Dear Tina, Russell, Stephanie, and Katie and all your beautiful children.  I just learned, and am sorry we weren't there to pay our respects.  I can't begin to tell you how much your father meant to me, and my family.  I have, and always will, look up to your mom and dad as wonderful role models.  We owe them so much. We are both heart sick that we did not get to say our good-byes to your dad and to offer our sympathy in person. Russ was a true fraud inspector, a natural.  I respected him and his work in the Pittsburgh Division. Along with the other experienced inspectors he made the Pittsburgh Division click.  An all around great guy.  We have so many fond memories of our time in Pittsburgh, especially a Halloween Party in 1983.  
We agree with Joe Clark and will toast to a great couple.

Russ and Lorraine were the epitome of parenthood. They helped create the atmosphere of the Pittsburgh Division Family. Those years I spent in Pittsburgh are some of my fondest memories of the Inspection Service. Russ and the other older, experienced Inspectors were nurturing and truly developed very effective Postal Inspectors. It made it a joy to be the Training Coordinator.
When anyone went to their home you couldn't sit down without a beer being placed in front of you. So, I also will hoist one in their memory.

Russell will always be in our hearts. He's been a part of our family for almost fifty years. What a wonderful father, grandfather -  we were proud to have him as our brother-in-law. We don't have enough room here to tell you of all the great times we had with him and Lorraine - raising our families and vacationing together. Oh, how we'll miss his camaraderie and laughter.
