Sally H. Duffett

Age 60, of Franklin Park, passed away at home on Monday, January 16, 2017. Beloved wife of William “Bill” for 33 years. Loving mother of Andrew (Jennifer), David, and Carolyn, and proud grandmother of Chase. Beloved daughter of the late Arnold W. and Teresa Hughey, and loving sister of Sue (Jim) Arend, Joan Rusbasan, Michael (Nancy) Hughey, Arnold T. (Christy) Hughey and Terry (Bill) Shore. Devoted aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Sally was a graduate of Shaler Area High School and Slippery Rock University, where she enjoyed swimming and playing water polo. A lifelong educator, Sally began her career at North Allegheny School District as a Health/Physical Education teacher and swimming coach. She retired in 2016 as a Paraprofessional at Bradford Woods Elementary School. Sally devoted her life to helping others, spending time with family, and supporting her children in their activities. She loved traveling and summer vacationing at the beach. She will be loved and missed by all. Family and friends will be received on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Twp., 412-364-4444. A Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated in St. John Neumann Church on Saturday at 11 am.
