

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Richard, two children, Heather and R.J., son-in-law Peter Domencic, daughter-in-law Angela Mazur, brother Joseph R. “Bobby Joe” Gillen (Karen) and brother-in-law Joe Palmino. She is also survived by grandchildren Andrew Domencic (Lauren), Alex Domencic (Morgan), and Isabel Terrano, step-grandchildren Noah Mazur and Emma Mazur, and many other beloved family members and lifelong friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph R. and Grace R. Gillen, and two sisters, Mary G. Palmino and Geraldine Robol. Born on Sept. 23, 1945, she was a native of Pittsburgh’s Greenfield neighborhood and a 1963 graduate of St. Rosalia High School.
She loved traveling, reading, knitting, playing cards and games, cooking, baking and enjoying meals with her family and friends. She especially looked forward to doting on her grandchildren, who adored their Nini Susie. She was a resident of Ben Avon for 35 years and a member of Sacred Heart Church of Emsworth for 45 years.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 17, at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, 1014 California Ave., Avalon, Pa. 15202. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on May 18th, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth at 10AM.
