Violet Mallison

age 81, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Born March 6, 1931 in Freesoil, MI, daughter of Herman and Lydia (Woebbeking) Rosenow.

Preceded in death by her parents; In-laws Clarence and Alvina (Nurnberger) Mallison, brother Virgil Rosenow and wife Edna, brother Marshall Rosenow and wife Irene. Survived by Husband of 60years Kenneth Mallison of Pittsburgh. Children: Joye Matolyak and husband Michael of Johnstown, PA; Kevin, of Morgantown, WV; Krista Everage and husband John Charles of Santa Monica, CA; and Eric Mallison and wife Kathy of Pittsburgh, PA. She was blessed with ten grandchildren. Also Survived by brother Kenneth Rosenow and wife Lois, brother-in-law Thomas Mallison and wife Wanda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Violet is a graduate of Manistee High School and the University of Michigan, with a degree in Mathematics and Fine Art. She was active with Love Day, quilt-making, and Braille Society. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing. Her smile, kind words and gentleness will be greatly missed.
