Owner of a gift, card and toy store, the Pink Door, in Aspinwall with his parents, the late Elsie (McCarthy) and Warren, before transitioning to the commercial real estate business as a broker with Thorne McKallip, then as Vice President of Beynon and Company before retiring as President of Kimball Properties. He enjoyed golf as a member and served as President of Wildwood Golf Club. He was a member of the Press Club and enjoyed his many friends at various spots downtown and in the North Hills. Steelers season ticket holder since Pitt Stadium and enjoyed watching professional sports as well as those of his children and grandchildren. He loved to read, was a stickler for grammar, laughed heartily at jokes and limericks, including his own, and had a quick wit. He was a patient and gentle man who was fun to be around and his family sorely misses him.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 12pm-2pm at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm.
