William C. Boucek II

Bill Boucek was born in Pittsburgh, son to the late Dr Goerge P. Boucek and Beatrice (Waldron) Boucek. He graduated from North Catholic High School, attended IUP and later obtained his MBA at Robert Morris University. Bill had a variety of occupations throughout his life beginning with his Military service where he retired as a Captain from the US Army. He went on to work as a teacher, a coach and 911 dispatcher.

Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail (Pozzani) Boucek, his children, Kim Boucek (Dan Bunce), Bill Boucek (Renee Mayo), Chrissy Boucek (Shane Johnson) and John Boucek (Kristin); siblings George Boucek (Karen), Tom Boucek (Sharon), Mike Boucek (Beth) and Mary Margaret Fleischer (Charlie); grandchildren Kevin, Kaitlyn, Giovanna and Amber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill found strength and comfort in his faith and often volunteered in support of Catholic charities and services. He loved to golf and much of his summer was filled with days on the course playing with friends. Bill had a great love for his family and will be fondly remembered for his antics and sense of humor. But his most favorite times were found with Gail during the 20 years they spent RVing all over the US together.

A visitation for William will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A Fireman's Memorial Service will take place at 7PM followed by Military Honors. The second visitation will be held on Sunday May 28, 2023, from 2PM to 4PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday May 29, 2023, at Saints John and Paul Catholic Church 2586 Wexford Bayne Road. Sewickley PA 15143 at 11AM. Please meet at the funeral home at 9:15AM the funeral procession will be led by the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Department.
