June 19, 1942 — May 14, 2026
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
Bonnie Lee Bingaman entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 14, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on June 19, 1942 in Oakland, California, Bonnie spent the last 50 years of her life in Shingle Springs — a place she made into a home for everyone lucky enough to be part of her world.
To know Bonnie was to know what love looks like in its purest form. She was the heartbeat of her family — the matriarch, the safe place, the constant. Her life revolved around the people she loved, and she gave herself to them completely. She gave quietly, generously, and without expectation — her time, her home, her heart. Kindness wasn't something she practiced. It was simply who she was.
A lover of Jesus and all His creation, Bonnie's faith was the foundation of everything she did. She had a deep love for animals, for travel, for music, and for the feel of an ocean breeze on her face. She never missed a grandchild's or great-grandchild's birthday, a game, or an event — not one. And when someone was in need, Bonnie was there. Always. Without hesitation, without being asked.
She was, in every sense of the word, lovely — and a best friend to all who knew her.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Gene Donald Bingaman; her sons Rodney, Dennis, and Timothy; and her stepchildren Gene and Sherleen — whom she loved and claimed as her own without distinction, because that was simply the only way Bonnie knew how to love.
She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. To many of her grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother — she was a mother and a savior, having raised them with the same boundless love and steadiness she gave to everything. And her great-grandchildren knew her not as a distant figure, but as someone close, present, and deeply woven into their lives.
She is now at rest, reunited with those who went before her, held in the arms of the Lord she believed in.
She will live in the way we love others.
She will live in our resilience.
She will live in our hearts, every single day.
