

Clara Christene (Chris) Roberts passed away peacefully at the El Dorado Hills Senior Care Village on June 16, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born in 1937 in Wellington, TX to the late CP and Inez Terry.
Chris and her husband moved to Placerville in 1972 to raise their family. She enjoyed water activities, music and dancing. She retired from Safeway as an assistant manager and spent her time traveling and enjoying her children and grandchildren. Chris was a member of Westtown Community Church when she lived in Georgia, and she was baptized in the Jordan River during a trip to Israel.
She was a long-standing member of The Order of Eastern Star, South Pasadena Chapter 21 with more than 60 years in the organization. She was a shining example of The Eastern Star values of charity, truth and loving kindness. Chris played a significant role in guiding and supporting her children in DeMolay and Job’s Daughter’s.
Chris was devoted to her family, her community and was generous in heart and spirit. These values are best reflected in the many enduring friendships formed throughout her lifetime. She is loved and will be missed by many.
Chris leaves behind two daughters and a son, Peggy Hansen (Jim) of Mesquite, NV, Jerry Roberts of El Dorado, CA, Linda Davies (Mark) of Goodyear, AZ, nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Bailey Roberts, son Billy Harold Roberts, father CP Terry, mother Sarah Inez Durham, sister Dorothy Wisdom Terry and brother CJ Terry.
Chris’s family extends their gratitude to the caregivers and health care providers that assisted mom. You are all angels.
A celebration of life is planned Saturday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at the Placerville Masonic Lodge #26, 2820 Cold Springs Road, Placerville.
