Dorothy Brubaker

July 19, 1929 - August 26, 2012

DOROTHY MAY BRUBAKER, age 83, of Camino, CA, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Placerville, CA, as a result of cancer. Dorothy was born July 19, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to parents Harvey and Adriana Bolton. Dorothy was married to Bruce O. Brubaker Jr. on July 2, 1948. After raising 3 children in Southern California they moved to Camino, CA in 1978. There they built a house that has been home to many of the children and grandchildren. Her husband Bruce died from cancer in 1985 after which she married Morris Justesen and moved to Florida. Later Dorothy and Morris returned to Camino where Morris passed away. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was an honorable member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For many years, Dorothy was chorister and choir director for the Camino Ward of the Church. She was working as a bookkeeper until shortly before she passed away. She is survived by her sons Bruce (Beth) and Adam (Tami) Brubaker and daughter Jennie (Dan) Olsen; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1st beginning with visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at the Latter-day Saint Chapel, 4621 Pony Express Trail, Camino, CA. Her interment will be at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville, CA. The Brubaker family extends their gratitude to the medical staff at the Marshal Hospital and to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home for their kindness and care.
