Jimmie L. Turnboo, 60, of Placerville, passed away on May 21, 2018 with his loving wife at his side.
Jimmie was born in Placerville to Glen and Opal Turnboo on April 18, 1958. He graduated from Ponderosa High School in 1976 and decided that he would spend the rest of his life in El Dorado County. Jimmie was a truck driver at heart and, for most of his career he was The Garbage Man. In 1990, Jimmie and Cheryl got married and over the next 28 years they relished in each other’s love as they spent time camping, being with family and listening to music. Jimmie really enjoyed working on his 1968 Chevy, watching NASCAR and various sports; but not nearly as much as he loved Cheryl at his side.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Cheryl; their children, Michelle, RJ and Renee; 9 Grandchildren; and his siblings, George, John, Cindy, Penny and Melvon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Opal Turnboo.
Jimmie had an infectious smile and a wonderful heart! He will be deeply missed by many.
