

Richard Frederick Linzmeier was born March 01, 1947 in San Francisco, CA to Lawrence and Eleanor Linzmeier, and passed away April 6, 2016, surrounded by his family, at home in Somerset, CA. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Margaret (Muggs); his children, Richard (Jennifer), Shannon, Traci (Ryan) and Cher, and 12 grandchildren Alexis, Ed, Jordan, Michael, Sammi, Taylor, Jon, Angel, Jerrett, Ian, Emily and Owen. He also leaves behind his siblings Larry (Linda) Linzmeier, Noreen (Dale) Nance, Marie (Mike) Leary and Jennifer McLaughlin.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents.
Rich owned and operated Proto-Tech Industries Inc. from 1979 till 2002. The company was originally located in the Bay Area and in 1990 relocated to Sacramento. After his supposed “retirement” in 2002, Rich became the Postmaster at the Grizzly Flat Post Office for all of one day. He later became a bus driver for the Pioneer School District. Rich’s goal in life was “the betterment of house and family”. He always had a project but, his greatest project was to help his children and grandchildren fulfill their potential. In addition to his 1978 Corvette project he loved football, The Lord and politics. Rich loved to “swing a vote”.
A Celebration of Rich’s life will take place Saturday, 4/16/16, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
