HERDER, Harold J on July 17 at the age of 94, predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Lucille. Beloved father of Richard (Colleen), Steven (Debbie) and Lucille Ann Arena (Jeff). Caring grandfather of Caitlin (Greg), Kimberly (Michael), Megan, Kelly, Leeanna and Emily Anne. Loving great grandfather of Cassidy and Jordan.

A 55 year resident of Plainview, Harold had a 40 year career in banking and was a passionate NY Jets and NY Mets fan. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, decorating for the holidays and spending time with his family. Visitation at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 655 Old Country Road, Plainview Friday July 21st 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral Mass Saturday July 22nd 9:45 am at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Hicksville. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
