James Condy

James Condy (1/16/1931-3/20/2026) was called home to the presence of his Savior on March 20. Having turned 95 in January, he is now free from the physical limitations of his body and reunited with his bride, Shirley. He was a wonderful father who had a perseverance and patience that is unequally matched. He was an electrical engineer by trade, who served a tour in the United States Navy as an Aeronautical Technician-2nd Class (AT2). He was very involved in his church and had a passion for the Model A Ford Club of Long Island, having personally restored a 1930 Model A “Murray” Sedan. Jim loved Jesus and his firm handshake and quirky sense of humor made you feel seen and cared for, which let you know that Jesus loves you too.

He is preceded in death by his wife of almost 65 years, Shirley Nicholas Condy. He leaves behind daughter, Diane M. Schotte, and two sons, James W. Condy and Steven J. Condy. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 118034908, US, on March 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Prayer Service will take place on March 26, 2026, at 8:00 pm.
