Antonio Garza

Antonio was born on May 10, 1924 in Prosper, TX, a son of Manuel and Herlinda (Rincon) Garza.

He is survived by daughter Maryann (Thomas) Perez of Plano, TX, daughter Alice Maldonado of Plano, TX, son Michael (Adis) Garza of Dallas, TX, daughter Rose Elaine (Gregg) Kays of San Jose, CA, and son James (Yolanda) Garza of Allen, TX. Also surviving are three sisters, 12 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Garza was preceded in death by the mother of his children: Antonia Garza, one daughter: Olivia Garza, and one son: Gilbert Garza.

Antonio served our country in the US Army from 1945 to 1946. He greatly enjoyed racecars and western movies. He worked as a mechanic for Mac trucking company for many years. He also liked to play Bingo.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074. His final resting place will be at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
