

Barbara (Russo) Plumeau, 83, of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Margaret and Louis Russo, Barbara grew up with her sister, Marilyn, in a family that valued togetherness and caring for others – values she carried throughout her life.
Barbara was married to Charles Plumeau who preceded her in death.
Barbara was a well-beloved realtor/broker. With her warm personality and desire to help others, she welcomed countless families to the community, helping them find places to put down roots and begin new chapters in their lives.
Barbara had a talent and passion for cross stitching. Over the years she created treasured heirlooms for those she loved. Every Christmas, her family looked forward to her handmade holiday pillows, each one a unique expression of her creativity and love. Her work earned blue ribbons at the State Fair of Texas.
Above all, Barbara will be remembered for her kindness. She had a sincere interest in the lives of others always asking questions, always listening, always caring. She was the person who remembered every birthday, checked in just to say hello, and kept track of everyone’s comings and goings with a smile. Her gentle presence made people feel seen and loved.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Barbara Minchillo, Renee Ryder, and Michelle Roberts; her grandchildren Natalie Salhanick, Nick Ryder, Ally Ryder, Nathan Roberts, and Madison Roberts; her sister Marilyn, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Cowan and Louis Russo, her husband Charles Plumeau and her granddaughter Melissa Ryder.
