

Born March 21, 1933, in Carthage, Missouri, Blanche was the youngest daughter of Alfred Dempsey and Ilene Louise Ballard Hibbs. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Magazine High School in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Billy Joe Wallace, on November 24, 1951; after his service in the Air Force during the Korean War they settled down to raise a family. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage before he passed away on January 20, 2004.
Their daughter, Jacquelyn Leigh Wallace Britton, was born in 1953, and they raised her in Oklahoma City before relocating to Plano in 1973 for Billy's job as an airline mechanic.
Blanche was a talented homemaker, baker, and seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and telling stories about her
childhood in rural Arkansas. She dedicated her life to her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn Wallace Britton; granddaughter Morgan Everett and her husband Mike and sons Aidan, Lucas, and Noah (Taipei, Taiwan); granddaughter Erin Rowton and her husband Michael and children Gage and Spencer Genevieve (Plano, TX); granddaughter Jamie Zertuche and her husband Blue and sons Nolan and Britton (Irving, TX); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one
sister.
The funeral service for Blanche will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, also at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:30 am at Ellington Cemetery in Magazine, Arkansas, where Blanche will be laid to rest with her husband Billy.
