

Carl Fawcett Duderstadt was born on October 24, 1924 in Mountain Home, TX. Carl was the son of Albert and Ethel Duderstadt. After his high school graduation, Carl attended a Jr. College now known as Schreiner Institute for two years. He then served in the Navy. At the end of his Navy service, he attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After receiving his degree he was employed by Mobil Pipe Line Company from July 1, 1947 until his retirement on December 1, 1985. In that time, Carl married the love of his life, Shirley. Together they had Russel and Julie, 2 wonderful children. Carl was always a good father and husband, putting what matters most first, his family. Carl is survived by his wife Shirley, and their two children, Russel and Julie. Carl is also survived by his sisters, Pearl Kalver and Emalou Marek, nephews Glenn Marek, Greg Marek and Richard Van Buren, nieces Karla Fulton and Donna Woods and many cousins from the Fawcett and Duderstadt branches of the family. Carl was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Plano and will be laid to rest in their columbarium. The family is planning to have a service at the First United Methodist Church of Plano on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2 PM.
