

Daniel Eugene Morgan died on February 14, 2017 surrounded by his beloved family. Born February 1, 1940, Dan and his family moved to Texas City, Texas in 1949. He graduated from Texas City High School, attended Texas State University, and served his country in the Texas Air National Guard. He married Jennifer Jean Tarrh in 1967 and was a proud Plano resident for over 40 years. He had a career as a cost estimator with various engineering firms in Dallas and Houston and retired in 2008. People who knew him counted on him for his keen abilities to fix anything, especially cars, which he did without even being asked. He taught his family members (especially his nephews) his handyman skills. He also had a great love for his dog, Oliver. He was a keen storyteller and World War II history buff. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lois Morgan and his wife, Jennifer. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Morgan Hooper, and husband, Rob, of Kensington, California and his siblings, Charles Morgan and wife Carolyn of Katy, Texas; twin sister Pat Morgan and husband Ron Fix of Troup, Texas; Mary McDonald and husband Paul of Houston, Texas; and Betty Hayes of East Bernard, Texas as well as his niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
