Facunda was born on November 27, 1923 in Sinton, Texas, a daughter of Lucas and Josepha (Veldaz) Acuna.
She married Bidal Sambrano on July 16, 1951 in Plano. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2005.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Facunda will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas 75075.
Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery where Facunda will be laid to rest with her husband Bidal.
A visitation and rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the rosary recited at 7:00 PM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
