Frank Havens

Frank D. Havens, age 86, passed away on July 20, 2010 in Allen, TX. He was born on April 19, 1924 in Lubbock, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn Havens; sons, Ron Havens and wife Nancy, Larry Havens; daughter, Linda Felder and husband Morris; brother, John Wayne Havens; 8 grandchildren, Carrie Tinsley and husband Bart, Ronnie Havens and wife Nikki, Melanie Havens and Joshua Bach, Andrea Lazo and husband Tommy, Kristin Felder, Lindsey Havens, Taylor Havens and wife Courtney and Garrett Havens; 9 great-grandchildren, Parker, Jake and Noah Tinsley, Reaghan, Taylor and Marshal Havens, Colton and Avery Lazo and Trenton Nettles. Frank was a WWII Army Veteran who was a Military Policeman in the 42nd Rainbow Division and served in Europe. He was a Liberator of Dachau, earned a Bronze Star and served as Honor Guard for General Patton's funeral. Frank was a lifetime homebuilder. His family was his passion and he loved them dearly. He will be missed by his loving family. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:00 am at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Rd., Dallas, TX 75252 (Coit and George Bush). Graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
