Gary was born on April 29, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of Leslie D. Westenburg and Bernita M. Westenburg.
Gary is survived by his parents of Richardson, TX; one brother: Les Jr. and wife Leneá of Plano Texas; one sister: Karen and husband Scott Henderson of Greenville, TX; and eight nephews: Ryan, Sam, Jesse, Jordan, Johnathan, Joseph, Jason, and Joshua.
He greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling.
A memorial service and celebration of life for Gary will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 4:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street in Plano, TX. Inurnment will be held at the Plano Mutual Cemetery at a later date.
