Janet Ruth Allen

Janet Ruth Allen was born on May 17, 1942 to Aline and Archie McAdams. Janet was born at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was a true native Texan. Janet, and her husband John, were married for over 52 years before he passed away. Janet worked for over 35 years as a Nurse. As a young adult she loved to bowl, play softball, water ski, and staying at home with her children. Spending time with her family was improtant whether at home or with her sons busy outdoor schedules. Her patience and desire to help others led her into the nursing profession. In her later years She grew to love painting, reading, traveling and spending time with her friends getting her nails done.

Janet is survived by her three sons David, and his wife Rene, Mark, and Scott, and his wife Angela; as well as by her Grandchildren: Courtney, Reece, Ryan, and Sydney. Janet is also survived by her Mother-in-law Beth Brucker, her Sister-in-law Judy Roycroft, her Brother-in-law Jerry Allen and his wife Janice, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Janet is preceded in death by her husband John, her mother Aline, and her father Archie.

A visitation will be held for Janet at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 PM. There will be a funeral service at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 AM with a committal service afterwards at the Plano Mutual Cemetery.

Reception will be held after at 550 Cambridge Dr, Fairview, Tx 75069.
