With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Khristina (Khrissy) G. Blalock, a cherished wife of Edgar C. Blalock of 29 years, a sister and friend. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by a host of family and friends, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at U.T. Southwestern Hospital in Dallas, Texas from the West Nile Virus.
She was born March 9, 1971 in Houston, Texas to Jeanne & John Gerard. She was a graduate of Shamrock High School in Dekalb County, Georgia. Khristina worked over 20 years in medical billing and credentialing in Dallas Texas, showcasing a warm and approachable personality and a helpful spirit. She also attended Dallas Baptist University to pursue her long term goal to become a chaplain.
Khrissy enjoyed having a nice cup of coffee on the patio talking and visiting with friends. She loved being around water and traveling and best of all she loved being surrounded by family. Khrissy had a bright and energetic personality which we referred to as the “Khrissy Way”.
She loved listening to contemporary worship and rap music. She was known for all of her many “Khrissy sayings” such as: “not my jam”, “bummer”, and “special order queen”. It was important to her to be a support to her family and friends and their accomplishments and made it a point to attend significant life events.
Khrissy is survived by her loving husband, Edgar; fur baby, Nola; father John; brother, John; sisters, Kim, Khandice, and Tisca; a host of in-laws , many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a community of friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne; & Father-In -Law Edgar .
Rest in Peace, dear Khrissy. Your spirit and love will continue to blossom in our hearts.
