Lori Jean Whitehead

Lori Whitehead was born on January 19, 1952 to Jack and Doris Thomas in Detroit, Michigan. Lori lived her younger years in Elgin, Illinois before moving to Plano, TX with her husband Timm in 1979. Here they raised their 2 sons Matt and Mitch. Lori loved reading books and going to the movies to see the newest comedy or love story. Lori also loved watching her boys and grandsons play sports. Whether it was soccer, football, or baseball she was always there to support them. When she wasn’t cheering on her grandsons she enjoyed playing bunko with her dear friends. Lori also loved to travel with her family. She also was a dedicated employee for the Target Corporation for the last 10 years. Lori goes on to join her parents, Jack Millar Thomas and Doris Olive Thomas and her sister Dorothy. She leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years Timm; as well as her two sons Matthew Scott Whitehead (Regan) and Mitchell Alan Whitehead (Heather). Through her two sons, Lori had four grandchildren; Mason, Manning, Shiloh, and Beckham Whitehead. She also leaves behind her sister Jaci Grant and many loving nieces and nephews as well as great neices and nephews. There will be a service held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2:00PM. The service will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
