Born in Pecan Gap, Texas she grew up in Ladonia Texas. Norma and Weldon K Burns married August 26, 1946.
Norma taught children's Sunday School at Park Place Baptist Church, Houston and First Baptist Church, Conroe for many years. Always a smile on her face and a huge heart for the Lord, she was a strong believer and pray warrior.
She spent many years as well in the retail world and worked for Foley's in Houston and Plano, Tx. Her hobbies included reading and counted cross-stitch.
She is survived by her daughters, Nelwyn Lewis and Debbie Burns of Conroe and Betty Burns of Plano; grandchildren Sara Barnard (Traci), John David Barnard (Mandi), Anna Guevara, Amber Guevara (Rebekah), Alicia Guevara, Amy Burns, Lori Burns and Audrey Lewis (Jay); 4 great-grandchildren and sister Linda Wright, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kathy Guevara, son David Burns and grandson Adam Guevara.
