Peggy Hughes

Peggy was born on February 25th, 1949 to Jerry Nell and Edward J. Griffin in Pampa, Texas. After she graduated from Amarillo High School, she went on to study music at the University of North Texas.

For many years she taught piano, but real estate was her passion. She assisted homebuyers and sellers for over 40 years. She didn't believe in retiring and never did.

Her life revolved around faith, family, and friends. She was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. She loved gardening, cooking, and creating a beautiful, welcoming home.

Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Hughes. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Jones; her son and daughter-in-law, Reno and Karen Jones; their children, Jonathan and Ainsley; her sister, Cathy Westmoreland; and her nieces Bonnie and Wendy.

Services will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano on Tuesday, August 8th at 11:00. The visitation will be Monday evening 6-8.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
