Ronald Doll Horr

Ronald Horr was born on September 4, 1930, in Lindsborg, Kansas, entered this world during the challenging times of the Great Depression. However, he was fortunate to have a loving family that provided a strong foundation of support.

Ronald's formative years were spent in Hermann, Missouri, and later in St. Louis. Initially pursuing a path in journalism, he later found his passion in pharmacology. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, a woman who would be his companion for the entirety of his days. Together, they established their home in Perryville, Missouri, where Ronald embarked on a journey of building his own business and raising a family.

As a father, Ronald was not only respected but also cherished by his children. His presence exuded warmth and kindness, making us feel at ease in his company. We looked up to him, inspired by his good nature and unwavering love for his family. While he and our mother were opposites in many ways, they complemented each other perfectly and worked as a united force. Alongside running their store, the business flourished, reflecting Ronald's dedication and hard work.

In the realm of companionship, Ronald welcomed his first German Shepherd into his life during this period. The bond between him and the dog was special, and many of our fondest memories include accompanying our father and the loyal companion on their walks. Additionally, Ronald invested in land in Bollinger County, a place that became a cherished retreat for our family, offering solace and tranquility amidst nature's embrace.
