

Thomas was born on May 25, 1930 in Dallas, Texas, a son of his father: Thomas H. Wilson II and his mother: Etta Corona (Walser) Wilson.
He married Patsy Nell (Gibbs) Wilson on February 6, 1953.
She preceded him in death on August 31, 2007.
Thomas and his late wife Patsy Wilson were residents of Plano Texas for 65 years. Their 2 sons Michael and Ricky were born and raised there. Thomas was a good man. He enjoyed playing and watching all sports and talking sports with his 2 sons. He enjoyed fishing and Rangers baseball. He was a good father and husband.
In the early years Thomas grew up in Celina and McKinney. Upon high school graduation, he joined the Navy and served in 1947-1949. In the early to mid 1950’s Thomas went to work for Friendly Chevrolet selling cars in Dallas where he stayed for several years. He later worked for Kraft foods in Garland . In the mid to late 60’s Thomas joined his dad running a grocery store in McKinney and eventually took over until the gas crisis hit in the early years of the 70’s. In the early 70’s he went to work for the USPS in Plano. Thomas worked tirelessly for the postal service delivering mail until his medical retirement in 1989. He had enjoyed retirement until falling ill in his late 80’s.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Patsy Wilson. He is survived by his 2 sons Michael Wilson and wife Fran and Ricky Wilson and his 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Jones and husband Jacob , Brooke Robinson and husband Corey, Amber Hay and husband Justin and Tommy Wilson and wife Tuesday and his 4 great grandchildren Landrie, Kinsley and Ryder Robinson , Miller Jones and baby Jones. Pat Hile and David Wilson and wife Linda , his sister and brother respectively.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
A graveside service will follow on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas where Thomas will be laid to rest with his wife Patsy.
