

Allan was born in the Coney Island area of Brooklyn, New York on March 14, 1938. Allan and his brothers grew up with their father’s Italian influences and their mother’s Jewish heritage. Allan married Renee Pesserilo on December 10, 1966. They lived in Brooklyn, where they welcomed two children. In 1974, his family moved from New York to Florida, settling in the Miami area. In 2013, he moved to Central Florida and spent the remainder of his life near his children and grandchildren.
Allan is preceded in death by his parents; Emil Palestrini and Minnie Proctor Palestrini; brothers, Jay, Bobby, Gerald and Eddie; and his wife, Renee.
Allan is survived by children, Michael Palestrini (Yesenia) and Lori Palestrini Howie (Dale), seven grandchildren Nicholas Palestrini, Kaitie Howie Moore (Dylon), Samantha Palestrini, Emily Howie, Anthony Palestrini, Brandon Howie, and Michael Howie, great granddaughter Ayla Moore, brother-in-law Jack Pesserilo as well as his close friend/companion, Janet Rapozo and dog Nikki.
Allan is remembered for his love of family, generosity and warm sense of humor. Through his life he enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, playing tennis and bike riding. Allan was a proud Army veteran, huge Miami Heat fan and a lifetime member of the Elks. Allan and Janet frequented the restaurants of Lakeland often, never meeting a bowl of pasta he did not like.
Allan will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family will receive visitors starting at 12:00 pm followed by services honoring Allan’s life at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 15th at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City, Florida. Address is 1903 West Reynolds St, Plant City, FL 33563.
