Betty Lee Norman, Barnett, Powell, 89, of Plant City, Florida passed away on April 4th, 2021. She was born January 23rd, 1932, in Moultrie, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Walter Herbert Powell and two children: Susan Powell-Jiles and James "Bobby" Barnett. She is survived by her children: Darryl (LaCresha) Barnett, Teresa Benitez, Walter (Delores) Powell II, Mike (Linda) Barnett, Debra (Melissa) Powell. Fifteen grandchildren: James, Darryl, Shannon, Dewanna, Joseph, Ashlee, Cortni, Alex, Alicia, Thadius, Reba, Eva, Devon, MaKenzie and Madison. Twenty great grandchildren: Tyler, Dylan, Alexis, Matthew, Silas, Tucker, Levi, Kylie, Norah, Jaxson, Riley, Elanah, Scarlett, Ramona, Susan, Sebastian, Zoe, Eli, Brantley and Isabelle.
Betty was a member of the Plant City Church of God and lived by the word of the Lord. Her children and family were her greatest achievements. She will be remembered for her devotion to helping others when needed. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 2pm at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Road, Plant City, Florida. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 1pm-2pm and graveside service to follow. The family is requesting any donations be given to the charity of your choice in her name.
