Remembrance Note for Bobby:
I am writing this remembrance of my dearly loved Brother, Bobby Moore who passed away on March 27, 2025 due to some complications with diabetes blood sugar. This is written by his sisters Monteen Dunn and Diann Copeland.
All the years of Bobby's life we have taken care of him as far as making decisions and providing the things he needed. He worked for the City of Plant City and retired so he had some income, but we just made sure he wasn't taken advantage of by some that knew he was a good hearted person. He had become feeble with his sickness as the years went on, but Bobby in the last few years realized that his sisters were getting older and more dependent on him. I was thinking that not many people get to return the care and helpfulness that others had done for them, but in Bobby's case he got the privilege of doing for both of his sisters, the things they neede3d and couldn't do for themselves.
He always came over to see if I needed anything of he would call me. He enjoyed going to Publix to pick up bananas for me. Plus, don't forget the Roasted Chicken. He was very picky when it came to the fruit, making sure it wasn't over ripe. He knew what I usually got and would add to the list accordingly. the people at Publix think a lot of him and I know that they will miss him.
Bobby had a speech problem, well not really, he was comfortable in any crowd. He had several friends, such as David Barron which he loved a lot. He valued friendship so much. Bobby was loved by so many. Don't get me wrong, he could get a little ornery too, but never held a grudge.
He loved fishing!! A funny story, about his fishing times...he and David Barron were fishing one time and caught the same fish!!! David told Bobby it was his fish, but Bobby said "NO, PAL!! THAT IS MY FISH"!!! Also there was a time fishing and Bobby threw the line and caught a bird, and it was so funny! If Bobby was here today he would be laughing at these stories too.
Bobby was a big help to Diann too. They lived together and looked out for each other. Time changes people and sometimes because you realize how much you need each other, and, in Bobby's case he felt needed and made it a purpose in life. He is missed so much.
"Do you need anything?" will ring in my ears and heart forever. Diann misses the little things he would do each day, like going to the Waffle House. The day he passed she knew something was wrong when his car was still there and I knew when he hadn't called me.
I hope this gives a little insight of Bobby's heart. Although simple minded and speech problem, he was a very smart person. He had his sisters trained to watch over him. (LOL)
One more story, years ago Marlon (brother in law) and Bobby were cast netting late and a policeman stopped them to see why they were out late. He asked for their driver's license and names and when it came to Bobby's turn, he said in plain, strong speech, "my name is BOBBY MOORE!" They laughed about it all the time.
Thanks to everyone that has a place in his life and took the time to acknowledge him.
We miss you very much, Bobby!!
Your loving sisters,
Monteen and Diann
