Catherine Atos

Cathy Atos, 96, former resident of Lakeland and Ft. Pierce has entered Eternal rest on October 27, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan. Cathy was married to her husband Ted Atos, a WWII naval veteran, for an incredible 65 years.

Cathy was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland in which she was actively involved. Before her retirement, Cathy worked in the banking industry for many years, and even spent some time with the Federal Reserve. She was a lover of a balanced check book, a great seafood meal, beer (in her earlier days), French fries, and ice cream (preferably after every meal).

Her survivors are Cindi (Robert) of Plant City, FL and Nick of Ft. Pierce, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Kristen) and Stefanie (Dylan).

She will be buried at the National Cemetery along with her husband. Cathy was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She will be greatly missed and always remembered with a smile.

A memorial service for Catherine will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, Plant City, Florida. A visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
