Claudia Mae Pless, 91, of Plant City, Florida passed away on April 24, 2024. She was born on October 17, 1932 in Sand Mountain, Alabama to Willie and Lorene Roberts. She moved to Florida at the age of 15.
Claudia worked at Hav-a-Tampa for 15 years. She and her husband were owners of Pless Nursery for many years. Mrs. Pless was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her hobbies were fishing, sewing, cooking and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 45 years, Richard A. Pless; her son Wilbur Permenter. Her brothers; Richard Minton, and Turner Roberts; Her sisters Madeline Lambert, Jessie Kay Hartmann, Jeanette Miller, and Edith Ebersbach.
She is survived by her children; Louise McClernan (Joe), Myrtle Lanier (Jim), Elaine Salter (Mike), daughter-in-law Cheryl; Peggy Waller (Farris), Ricky Pless, and Jeannie Carlton; her sister Judy Roller (Bill), ; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Claudia will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, Plant City, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Claudia will be laid to rest in Pless Family Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
