David Turner was born in Plant City, Fl, August 9, 1951. He passed away in Lakeland, Fl, September 9, 2025. David was a Christian and played for and sang in several groups, and he taught numerous piano students.
David served in the US Army from September 1973 until September 1976, in Europe as a Senior Medical Aidman. His rank was SP5.
David was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Jack Turner and his son Matthew Turner.
David is survived by his grandsons Tyler (Jordan) Bonham, Brady Bonham great grandson Hunter, sister Phyllis (Greg) Golden, and brother Calvin (Glenna) Turner, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
David attended Oklahoma Baptist University, graduated from USF with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science, and he received his MBA from Keller School of Management.
David worked for Hillsborough County Department of Families and Children, Hillsborough District Schools, the City of Lakeland, and he retired from NASA.
Graveside services will be held at the VA Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl. in October.
David will be missed.
