Doris Claire Dupont, (Claire Barbee),72, passed away on February 6, 2011 in Plant City, Fla. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert Pierre Dupont and Bessie Clemons Dupont. She attended Plant City schools and graduated from Plant City High School. She worked for a time in Washington , D.C., then attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She received a degree in elementary education and taught in Florida schools for 31 years. She is survived by her son, Daniel Barbee, two grandsons, and two sisters, Marcelle Navarre and Jacqueline Dupont.
