

Tarance Eugene Pippin, 69, of Plant City, entered into the Gates of Heaven on July 15th, 2021. He was born on June 25, 1952 in Plant City, Florida to Tarance Porter Pippin and Hazel Pippin. He was a lifelong resident of Plant City. He graduated from Plant City High School and then married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Dianne Brannon on July 7, 1972 and were married for 49 years.
He was very musically inclined and was in the band (1st Chair) in high school. He enjoyed music, singing and playing the trumpet. He was also a football player while in high school and made it to the semi pro league of Tampa.
His other hobbies included such things as riding motorcycles (dirt bikes), flying remote controlled airplanes, going to the woods and hunting or just riding through them or sitting by the campfire enjoying family time, fishing, bowling, dancing, going on cruises and being the life of the party.
He was very much a people person and loved to help and serve others any time he could. He was Santa Clause for Christmas Lane for many years. He coached for Plant City Little League at Mike Sansone Park and was sponsored by the Masonic Lodge.
The things he wanted to be most known for was being a “true servant” and a Deacon and Elder of his church, New Hope at Cornerstone.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sherry Dianne Pippin, son; Tarance Eugene Pippin, II "Terry" (Tina), four grandchildren, Timothy Farmer, Heather Garmon (Dustin), Jessica Skeens, and Sherilynn Pippin (Michael Werner), all from Plant City, Florida; six great grandchildren, Kaiden, Chase, Tensley, AJ, Nathan Eugene, and Noah; two brothers, Alvin Porter Pippin (Geneva) of Mulberry, and Charles Leroy Pippin (Stephanie) of Lithia; two brother in laws, Daniel C. Brannon (Patty) and James Brannon of Plant City, and one sister in law, Linda J. Simpson (Carlos Mullis) of Plant City; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at New Hope at Cornerstone, 315 N. Collins Street, Plant City, Florida, 33563. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. (noon) and burial will be immediately following at Mt. Enon Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
