Goldie H. Ercoli

Goldie Ercoli, age 91, went home to be with her Lord June 4, 2011. Her final days were spent with her family and friends by her side. Mrs. Ercoli was born March 30, 1920 to P.L. and Bertie Mae Ham in Plant City, FL. She was one of 9 children, all who preceded her in death. Goldie spent her younger years working on the family farm with her other siblings. Goldie was married to D.M. Ercoli on August 5, 1940. They made their home at Knights Station. She was a farm wife and home maker. They grew vegetables, hey,raised cattle and operated and egg farm. She was an active member of Knights Baptist Church and her community. Goldie enjoyed visiting with neighbors, cooking her famous spaghetti every Saturday for friends and family, working in her flower beds and rocking a new grand baby. She leaves behind and adoring family-her husband, Mingo Ercoli, their 3 children: Alan, Shirley and Richard ;their spouses: Eileen, and Lisa; 6 grand-children: Alicia, Gina, Mattew, Brea, Haley and Carson and 5 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Benjamin, Ethan, Noah and Danny, all of whom will miss her dearly. Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her. Prov.31:28. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7th from 6:00-8:00 at Wells Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 8th at 2:00 P.M. at Knights Baptist Church. Interment will follow at West Oaklawn Cemetery.
