In the year of our Lord August 6th, 2025 Julio Damian Perez Sr. age 63 of Plant City, FL was called home to his eternal rest, where he now is beholding God's glory and praising Him.
Born April 12th, 1962 to Ovidio and Maria Rosa Perez.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Guadalupe Perez, daughter Yesenia Perez, son Julio Damian Perez Jr., daughter Jennifer Melendez, 13 grandchildren (Janelle, Julio III, Jonathan, Valerie, Noah, Miley, Emily, Liliana, Mariana Grace, Joseph, Adrian, Alejandro, Zachariah), his mother Maria Rosa Perez, and 10 siblings (Elvira, Gloria, Pedro, Isabel, Susana, Ovidio Jr., Jorge, Gabriel, Ana, Daniel). Julio Sr. was preceded in death by his father, Ovidio Perez, who held to the Christian faith as well and are both enjoying the Lord in perfection.
Julio Sr. was a faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He believed, according to scripture, that one must be saved by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, so no man could credit themselves and boast in their salvation (Ephesians 2). The battle of cancer was 1.5 years, but that didn't stop him from going out into the world declaring that Christ is Lord, finding opportunities to read scripture, pray, and encourage others in the faith.
Julio Sr. was blessed to be a member of Ahava Baptist Church in Plant City and also blessed the congregation with his walk and testimony before them.
His creative mind always kept him busy and active, figuring things out on his own, especially when confronted by challenges either on a jobsite or just fabricating and welding for fun. Putting all types of metal together and creating things just to do it was not unusual for him to do. He also enjoyed woodworking. It came as easily for him as riding a bike with your eyes closed.
The Perez family thanks the Lord for everyone's prayers and kindness during this time. Funeral service will be held at Christ the King Baptist Church in Plant City on Aug 16th at 10:45 a.m. After the service, please join the family at Mount Enon Memorial Cemetery for the burial of the final resting place of Julio Sr. Concluding the burial, there will be a time of breaking bread together at Ahava Baptist Church in Plant City.
