

Williams, Maureen L. (Barnes), 87, of Dover, Florida passed away at home in Seffner on November 7, 2022. She was born in Geneva, Alabama on September 15, 1935 to Henry and Ellie Lee. She moved to Florida in 1955.
She retired from Treasure Isle Seafood after 30 years and then was a co-driver in the semi for 10 years with her late husband, Ken Williams. Mrs. Williams moved from Plant City to Dover after the death of her husband, Luke Barnes in 1975. She remained in Dover until recently when she moved in with her daughter in Seffner as she fought her battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold (Ken) Williams; two sons, Anthony Wayne Boles and William Ernest Barnes; and brother, Franklin Lee of Texas.
She is survived by three children; Wanda Hough (Stan) of Seffner, Marty Barnes (Sonia) of Mulberry, and Rhonda Grogg of Dover, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL 33563 on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Wadesboro, North Carolina where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Arnold Ken Williams.
