Robert Collett died peacefully at his residence in Plant City, FL September 9, 2024 after a long illness. Robert was born in Smyrna , GA. He graduated from Wills High School in 1986. He attended North Georgia College for one year where he met his wife of 37 years Lori Treadaway Collett. He later completed his masters degree from Southern New Hampshire University in business administration in July 2017.
Robert had been employed by Johnson Controls (later Clarios) since 1994 and moved to Plant City, Fl in 2018 when he got the position of Customer Service Supervisor at their manufacturing location in Tampa.
He is preceded in death by Parents: William Edgar Collett and Sarah Nell (Page) Collett, and his son Mark Christopher Collett.
Surviving family members are: His wife Lori Treadaway Collett, son Brian Collett, Brother Billy (Pat) Collett, sister Becky (David) Dickerson, sister-in-law Connie (Lee) Stone, sister-in-law Karen (David) Ehrler and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home, 1903 West Reynolds Street, Plant City,FL Saturday September 14 with visitation beginning at noon and the funeral service at 1PM. Interment will be at 3pm Saturday September 14 at the family mausoleum in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens 2323 West Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Fl. Relatives and friends invited.
