Rodney Simmons

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Theresa Simmons; three children, Desiree, Jeffrey, and Kaitlyn; two sisters; Shannon Nelson and the late Wendy Razza, loving aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. George Trask, and cousins Greg and Heidi.

Rod loved to fish and taught his grandchildren to fish at a very young age. He also enjoyed watching football on Sunday. His favorite teams were the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he was an avid Tom Brady fan. He also loved to be by the ocean. He was very family oriented and loved to travel with his wife and grandchildren.

He will be forever loved and missed.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL 33563.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, April 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 210 Lemon Street, Lakeland, FL.
