Troy L. Powers Jr., an adventurous soul who embraced life with passion, was born on August 28, 1949, and entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 25, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born with an insatiable curiosity and zest for life, Troy lived an exciting journey filled with joy and love. Troy found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature, often capturing its beauty through his lens as a passionate photographer. His love for the outdoors extended to his favorite pastimes of golfing, sailing, and camping, where he found peace and tranquility amidst the vast expanse of the sea, mountains, and green fairways. His adventurous spirit led him to serve his country proudly in the Navy as a Quarter Master, where he honed his skills of precision and navigation.
Troy found a second family at Florida Engineering and Design , where he dedicated his talents as a CAD designer. His commitment to his Job and his colleagues made Florida Engineering and Design not just a workplace but a home away from home. Beyond his professional pursuits, Troy's heart belonged to his beloved wife of 32 years, Lauren Powers, his daughter Morgan, and his cherished grandson Rhett; he took the title of husband, father, and Pops very seriously. He found his greatest joy in the company of his family, whose love and support were the guiding light of his life.
Troy's love for football was evident in his unwavering loyalty to his favorite team, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his greatest passion was reserved for the people around him. His infectious laughter and warm smile brought joy to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to call him a friend.
As Troy has now embarked on his final journey to be with the Lord, may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of his loved ones and friends.
