Cribbs, Vernon Edward, age 95 of Plant City, Florida passed away at his home on April 25, 2016. Vernon was born in Knights Station, Florida to Drew Edward and Mary Jane (Douglas) Cribbs on January 3, 1921. He served his country proudly during WWII in the United States Navy and was a firefighter for 32 years in Plant City, where he retired as Captain.
He is preceded in death by wife of nearly 50 years, Lawanna Cribbs. Surviving are daughters, Fran Shivers (Len) and Suzanne Johnson; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will hold private services with military honors.
