Our Dad was the father that God knew we needed!  He loved us everyday and was not afraid to show it. He was our role model, coach, disciplinarian, protector and in times when we needed, our friend; but whatever role he played there was no mistaking, he was in charge.  He was our Dad.

We were very fortunate to not only know our father as Dad but also grew to know him as Tiny.  For a short period of time, both of us worked along side him at Life of Georgia and through that experience we were able to see him in an everyday working environment.  This time in our lives gave us an additional perspective of the man that others saw everyday.  Not many sons get the chance to see their dad demonstrate his lessons on a daily basis outside the home.  During our time working with Dad, we witnessed a man well grounded, committed and passionate in his work. Many of our life principles and disciplines we share today are a direct result of the examples Dad demonstrated throughout his life.

Our mother is his absolute first love!  We know this because we saw it everyday.  The way he partnered with her regarding household decisions and listened when she had a different opinion on an issue showed us what it meant to have a wife as a true partner. Even when they discussed issues at ... Shall we say ... An elevated volume ... We knew he loved her!  His second love was golf.  Not being able to play golf any longer was heartbreaking for Dad.  He spent more money on the game than Mom liked ... But once she figured it out .... She all of a sudden ended up with new purses! 

But what gives us the most joy today is that we know ...  AND WE DO KNOW! ... he is in Heaven, and he has finally found himself a driver that he can hit 350 yards!… And since we know there is NO sorrow in Heaven ... Daddy will never experience another 3 putt!

We love you Dad!  We miss you and we will see you again ... Save us a tee time ...

HI Glenda and familyI am so sorry for your loss. I know Tiny was a very very special person to all of you. I wasn't able to attend the wake or funeral but you all are in my prayers and we will get together at a later date hang in there.

During my brother's last hours, our family shared our love for each other.  During this time I saw a very strong and brave man make the ultimate decision to go home and be with the Lord.  Tiny was depending on "the Grace of God" as he made these decisions.   We are comforted to know that he is with the Lord. At the same time we are sad because we will no longer be able to talk to him or see him.  We will need to depend on the same "Grace" that God gave to Tiny to help us through our grief.  II Corinthians 12:9

I would also like to say that Tiny's wife, Glenda, has been an Godly example to me through her years of daily caring for my brother.   She and Tiny have raised two wonderful sons, Keith and Kevin, who has always loved and respected their parents dearly.  

Tiny, I have always loved you and will miss you until that glorious day we meet again in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Glenda, I am so sorry and send my deepest condolences to you and your family.  I remember you talking about him and how your eyes lit up and how you smiled.  May your love and memories sustain your spirits at this time.   Fifty years!  Wow!  To have that much time to share is something few get and is awesome.  You two were very fortunate and blessed. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your father.  Please send my condolensces to your family as well.  In reading about him, it appears he did much in his life but most importantly, was a good Christian man now recieving his reward.
