Beatrice Mitchell-LeBlanc, 85, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2024, in the loving care of her devoted husband and best friend of 66 years, Peter LeBlanc. Bea lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
A doting mother to Mark (Karen), Joyce (Lee), Paul (Jessica), and John (Rowena), Bea was also a cherished “Granny” to Gwendolyn (Ben), Andrea (Dan), Jordan (Jenna), James (Raizel), and Benjamin. She beamed with pride as “GG” to her beloved great-grandchildren: Julia, Ava, Sophie, Henry, Elizabeth, and Thomas. Bea leaves behind many adored nieces, nephews, and friends who will dearly miss her.
Beatrice was a petite force of nature, graced with a beauty as timeless as her spirit. Her warm smile, sparkling eyes, and effortless elegance were matched only by her beautiful singing voice and wicked sense of humour. Even in the hardest times, Bea would assure everyone that things were “fine and dandy,” lifting those around her with her positivity. A talented baker and home cook, Bea’s legendary family meals were crafted to perfection, filling her home with warmth and comfort.
Sharp-witted, graceful, and resilient to her final days, Bea leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and elegance that will endure for generations to come.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 9, at St. Veronica’s Parish in Dorval, Quebec, from 10 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
