I just found out.  My deepest condolences to Cindy's family.  I met Cindy in 2011 when my father passed away.  Cindy dealt with my Mom and I for quite a while with regards to my Dad's estate.  She was so kind and compassionate.  My Mom loved her! Cindy went above and beyond her duties. We spoke on an intimate level and I knew Cindy had had breast cancer.  My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer while we were in contact and Cindy was such a comfort to me.  I will always remember her bright light.  Shine on Cindy!

I was shocked to recently learn of  Cindy's passing. This world has lost an exceptional, caring, compassionate, sympathetic, beautiful human being. I met Cindy in first grade. We lost touch. Different high schools. I moved away. One day, I saw a familiar face. It was Cindy's Mom whom I had not seen in approximately 30 years or so. I recognized Mrs. Corcoran (Barbara)right away! She gave me Cindy's phone number and assured me Cindy would love to "catch up". We did! We spent some quality time talking. Beautiful person. Cindy has a way of making people feel cherished and special. Truly memorable. She had the capability of making everyone feel that way. To All...remember, we never really lose the people we love for they live eternally in the hearts of all who loved them. My heart goes out to all of you at this terribly difficult time. May God be with you in your time of need. My deepest condolences.

Just keep swimminig, the line from the kids movie finding Nemo, would become Cindy's motivational line when battling her rollercoaster like ride with cancer.  She would often say it with a smile after deciding to fight on after a setback with her condition.  I first met Cindy in 1985 while we were both working for The Royal Bank of Canada.   I said hello to her in the cafeteria one day and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that would last many years.  Cindy met many people through bank and fostered many relationships as a result.  She was a hard worker who was very well respected by her friends, colleagues and clients. The last position Cindy held at the bank was in the estates department. She often was directly involved in speaking with elderly people who lost loved ones and assisted them with unbridled compassion and the utmost respect. Cindy always had a soft spot for the elderly and loved to assist them in any way. She frequently went above and beyond her mandate in performing her duties and added a personal touch when dealing with clients. She gave of her time freely, often meeting clients after hours to have a coffee or tea and to lend a compassionate ear. 
That was Cindy.
As her friend I can say that she was always supportive and went out of her way for you. She also had a broad spectrum of friends and would often be the catalyst that brought us all together. I cannot count the numerous get togethers Cindy organized for her friends and all the good times we shared over the years. She never left anybody out. She had her own convictions and marched to the tune of her own drum.  If so and so did not like so and so, that was their problem, she was not about to exclude anybody.
Her unwavering support she exhibited towards her friends while batteling two cancers and lending her time to help others is the epitome of a good friend with a kind heart. 
Her love for animals and all things living made you realize how connected to life itself she was. She even asked her Mom to find her a sewing machine so that she could make blankets for animals in shelters.
She was always engaged with her friends and would do anything she could to help them. The examples of her compassion and generosity are just plain too numerous to mention. Cindy was there for you when the chips were up and when the were down.
She loved to have fun. She soaked up life and valued true friendship.
 When Cindy had her baby-girl Thea , that changed her forever. You could see her refocus her priorities in which she seamlessly transformed into motherhood. Thea became her main focus, she loved her so much.
Cindy also had a strong sense of family and loved everbody deeply.
She valued that Thea had many good times with her Dad and stepsisters and her sister Kelley's kids as well as her Grandparents. These times were important to her.
Thea was without a doubt, the center of her universe and she was so very proud of the sweet young girl she has become. She would beam with pride when she would talk of her achievements. The utter joy she derived from being Thea's Mom was something that shone through by default. I remember the day Cindy called me and Thea was doing a walk-a-thon with school, and the kids were walking to support Thea's mom. Cindy was just beaming over this initiative and it made her so very proud.
Cindy was astoundingly optimistic throughout her battle with cancer and decided to fight it with all she had.  She made it clear from the beginning when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer that she was not going to let it beat her and that she did not want people to feel sorry for her. Cindy joined the walk for breast cancer in the hope that a cure would be found.  It was not long after that Cindy was diagnosed with another cancer, Melanoma.  This news would crush most people but not Cindy. Although she took the news very seriously, it only hardened her resolve to win.
After getting a short period where the cancer seemed to be controlled it reappeared in her spinal region. Cindy again soldiered through the next hurdle with an optimistic view and rejuvinated plan to battle the setback.  She was very resourceful and began building a regime she would follow of natural remedies alongside the conventional chemotherapy she was getting through the hospital.  She also went to Cornwall 2 or 3 days per week for Vitiam C injections which really helped boost her energy level.  She made so many friends at the clinic in Cornwall, and her compassion for other people there, never went unnoticed.
She fought extremely hard to beat the odds in order that she could live life and watch Thea grow and mature into the loving child she cherished so much.
Cindy continued her fight for a number of moths in which she fought like a champion but in the end the disease had won.
I feel blessed to have been in her life and will miss her terribly. I also know that my friend would want us all to "Just keep swimming"

I am honored to have walked some journey of life with Cindy! Too  short that it was! Today's service was a real tribute to this terrific lady!
She will be greatly missed.

I remember Thea and I wanting to grow up and be just like Cindy with our sunglasses and our awesome clothing! I miss Cindy a lot. To me it feels as if I have lost my own mother! Whenever I would go over I would ask her for something and she would say " I don't know just look in the cupboards!"  She made me and everyone who would ever go over feel like they were at home! She was so loving! She had a great sense of humor! I think what's making this all okay is that I just keep thinking that she is still with me, just in my heart! I miss you Cindy!

I was very sad to hear you had gone. Although we were not close friends but we were more like collègues, it was always a pleasure to chat with you when we would bump into eachother. There are no words to express how much I miss you. I cannot get over the fact that youre not here with us anymore. Everytime you would walk into a room you would be full of life. I miss your laughter your funniness, and your smile. I miss everything about you. It literally breaks my heart that I wont be able to randomly walk into my house and see you there. I cant thank you enough for being the BEST friend you can ever be to my mother Gina. She misses you so much and theres not a day she doesnt think of you. You have no idea how much you and your daughter meant to us and how much of a big part you were in our lives. You were also not just a friend but you were family. If there were some things I couldnt speak to my mother about I know that I could have came straight to you. I have never in my life met someone so strong and intelligent. You were such a fighter. I look up to you. We have so much great memories together that I will never forget. I will cherish them for the rest of my life. I promise you one thing and that is that you will never ever be forgotten. You will be apart of our family forever. I love you so much and I can say the same exact thing for my family. So sorry for your loss. I met Cynthia at Wider Penfield where my son Noah is in the same class as Thea.  I always thought she was such a sweetie pie, we always had good conversation. I remember when she got her first wig and she told me about it, it looked beautiful on her... She was a beautiful and sweet person, I will never forget our short meeting. Thea your mom is your angel up above now, shining bright for you always ????????

It is so hard to fathom that Cindy is gone. Cindy was always(and will always be) special to me. Years ago when I would come to Montreal on short notice visits she always went out of her way to see me and make sure that I enjoyed my visit. She was such a fun, energetic and positive person.

I have had the honor and privilege of knowing Cindy while I was teaching her most precious one: Thea. I always admired her relationship with Thea and also her relationship with Bruno. They were just great friends. They were a team. Today, we say goodbye to Cindy. You will always have a special place in my heart.  I promise to be there for your Thea.
