It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Gorman McCarthy on February 9, 2017 surrounded by her family. Edith served in WWII in the R.A.F. and loved to volunteer with different organizations. Predeceased by her husband William and her sons Jim, Mike and Bill. Survived by her loving children Kitty (Ron), Brian (Donna), Ken (Jan) and Tim (Colleen), she also leaves her cherished grandchildren Kelly, Tara, Jennifer, Michael, Kevin, Autumn, Chris, Kellie, Kayla, Joshua, Meghan, Daragh, Ricky, Gary, Sean, Jamie, Katie, Ashley and great- grandchildren Carter, William, Grace, Brayden, Jacob, Ryan, Ava, Savannah, Isla, June, Will and Nora. Visitation on Sunday, February 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Edward the Confessor on Monday, February 13 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's memory would be appreciated to Ste. Anne Veterans Hospital. A special thank you to the Veterans Hospital staff and nurses of unit 3A you made her last year a safe and happy one.
