.It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eddy on November 16th,2011 at the Montreal General Hospital at the age of 71. Loving son of the late Sophie(Rushak) and the late Louis Palchak. He is survived by his cousins Danny Bossy(Diane),Leo Bossy,(Maureen),George Bossy,Oxsana Fish(Jim) and Josie Woods (Norm) and their children. He was an Uncle to many and a wonderful friend to all.
Eddy's love of the game gave him the opportunity to be part of the greatest organization in sports history, The Montreal Canadians Hockey Club. He was the Equipment Manager and trainer for 31 years. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society in 1998.He had his name etched on the Stanley Cup 10 times, a record for a support staff member of an NHL Club.
Eddy was very fortunate to have a best friend Robert Kellestine who was always there for him during his retirement years. He is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by many friends and family.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pte Claire, Montreal, P.Q. on Monday, November 21st, 2011 from 2 to 5.p.m. and from 7 to 9.00 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Veronica's Parish, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval, P.Q. on November 22, 2011, at 10.a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a favorite charity in Eddy's memory would be appreciated.
