Harold Aubie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Joseph Edgar Aubie on Friday, June 10, 2016. True to his nature, a strong and courageous man throughout his illness. Harold will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years Jo-Ann (McAuley). Proud and loving father to Andrea (Stephane Croels), Jacqueline and Alex (Jenna Crawford). Dearest 'Appa' to his most precious granddaughters Livia and Elle Black, Lexa and 'babygirl' Croels. Born in Bathurst, NB to the late Joseph L. Aubie (1950) and the late Marie Rose Comeau (2007). He was predeceased by sister Doris Pilgrim (2014) and brother Louis J. Aubie (2016) (Gilberte). Survived by brothers Arthur (Delia) and Walter, sisters Jeannette and Dorothy (Jacques Ranger) who will miss him dearly as will his sisters-in-law Barbara (Neil Adams) and Caroline (Jeff McDougall). Much loved and respected by his nieces, nephews, many dear cousins, his life-long friends the Searles, his IPEX family and 'the boys' at the Beaconsfield Golf Club and PCCC who all enriched his life with friendship and laughter over the years. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. followed by a service in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Section Highland View, 701 Donegani, Pointe-Claire, Quebec, H9R 5G6. In lieu of flowers donations to the West Island Palliative Care Residence or The Montreal Neurological Institute (Gliablastoma Research-Petrecca Lab) would be greatly appreciated. Family friends are welcome to join us at The Beaconsfield Golf Club on Cartier Ave., Pointe-Claire for refreshments.
